HISTORY
In 1956 a group of African Christians and missionaries met in Kabale, SW Uganda, to chose a site to start a Christian Hospital. This was to continue the work of Kabale Mission Hospital opened in 1921 but closed in the second world war.
Kisiizi was chosen as an obsolete flax factory provided a good building and there is a beautiful waterfall allowing the generation of hydro-electricity. In addition, Kisiizi has a reliable spring of clean drinking water.
Dr & Mrs John Sharp master-minded the project and on 30th March, 1958, a great Thanksgiving Service was held at Kisiizi for the official opening.
